Terms and Conditions

 

Learn English Online with iTeacher

iTeacher is a service that provides General English, English Conversation, Business English, English Specialisation, English for Children and Teens, and Exam Preparation English, courses online, via the Internet through audio or/and video call. The courses consist of 60 minute long classes for individuals or groups of 2-4 students. iTeacher provides a professional certified native teacher.

 

Booking English lessons

All lessons bookings must be agreed to in advance with your teacher via e-mail at the following address: river@iteacher.eu or laura.parbar@gmail.com . Your iTeacher will confirm the date/dates and time of the lessons at least 24 hours in advance. You must confirm the date and time by answering the teacher’s e-mail at least 24 hours in advance.

 

Payment and fees

All fees and transactions are in Euros, unless otherwise agreed. All lessons must be paid for in advance. You may choose whether to purchase 1 lesson or packages of  5 or 10 lessons. Lessons must be completed within three months from the date of the payment.

iTeacher reserves the right to change the fees at any time and with no notice.

Payments shall be arranged using PayPal which also accepts some credit cards.

English lessons

You are required to be online and prepared for the lesson at agreed-upon time.

 

Technical requirements

Lessons are delivered using your internet browser (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Edge) which should be updated to the latest version. You will also need a webcam and microphone.

Broadband internet access is required to ensure the quality of the sound and video. In case of a slow internet connection (poor audio/video quality) our teacher may ask you to switch off the camera to improve the audio quality.

 

Refund

If you decide to terminate your course and will not attend the remainder of the pre-ordered and/or pre-paid lessons, no refund will be made by iTeacher

iTeacher reserves the right to cancel any lessons pre-arranged and/or pre-paid in any circumstances and will refund the client with the remaining amount of the pre-paid lessons that have not been completed (PayPal or any other third party fees will be deducted from the amount due).

 

Cancellation and delay policy 

If you are unable to attend the lesson at the agreed-upon time you must notify your teacher by email at least 24 hours in advance. If you cancel the lesson with less than 24 hours notice, miss the lesson completely, or fail to log in within 15 minutes following the lesson start time, the lesson will be considered as if it was completed and will not be refunded.

The teacher reserves the right to terminate the lessons in the case of unforeseeable circumstances, including the following::

  1. extremely bad audio quality
  2. disruption of the Internet services on either side of the lesson

If extremely bad audio quality and/or disruption of the Internet services are on the teacher’s side, the lesson will be rescheduled. If extremely bad audio quality and/or disruption of the Internet services are on the student’s side, you will be permitted to reschedule a 30 minute lesson only.

In case of any unforeseen circumstances, if more than 30 minutes of the lesson have already been completed, the entire lesson will be considered as completed.

In the case that you are late and you have not informed the teacher of the delay, the teacher will sign out, and charge you for the lesson.

 

Expiration date

If you buy a single lesson and/or a package of 5 or 10 lessons you must attend those lessons within three months from the date of purchase, otherwise you lose the right to complete them.

 

Exclusion of liability

iTeacher cannot at any time be held responsible for any damage caused by the performance or inadequacy of the services of any third party (e.g.: the Internet, Skype, Google Meet, Zoom etc…)
